George has had kind of a rough couple of weeks. He's been generally irritable and has been having more meltdowns than usual. He's not been able to get to sleep as easily as he used to. Yesterday, he had a rough fall and knocked his eye on the tv stand, ending up with 5 stitches. Here's a picture if you want to see...
But amidst the tough times, today George made some good progress. After coming home from school, I went to the playground with Rachel to let the boys swing and play for a little. We discovered that George is able to sit and hold on to the swing without having to use the toddler swing. After that, when I took him off the swing, he grabbed my hands and pushed them together back and forth, which you may know is the sign for more. This was most exciting for us. Its one we've been working on for a while with him (three and a half years, to be exact). Hopefully we can get him to initiate the sign on his own with his own hands, rather than pushing our hands to do the sign for him. Way to go George!
We didn't have the camera to take a better video, but we were able to capture it on the cell phone here:
